Basic Function & Responsibilities:
IT Research Support Solutions is looking for bright, self-motivated, and curious
individuals to help advance research at Missouri S&T. This fast-paced team enables
S&T researchers, faculty, staff, and students to achieve their research goals. As part of
the IT RSS team, you’ll identify needs and implement solutions

Job Description:
Dependent upon job/team assignment, this position will be responsible for:
• Develop backend, frontend, client, and/or full stack systems
• Assist the maintenance and enhancement of the current MinerBytes system
• Provide exemplary customer service
• Pickup and delivery of PCs, displays, and equipment
• Other computer-related support duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Basic experience with operating systems
• Substantial organizational and communication skills

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge or experience with single board computers (SBCs) and/or
microcontrollers
• Experience with scripting languages such as PHP, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with development tools like Git, IDEs, and frameworks or modules

Schedule:
• 12-20 hours per week during the semester
• 35-40 hours per week during breaks (spring, summer, etc.)
• Standard schedule is between 8am-5pm, but hours are flexible
• Availability over the summer is desired
